The delusional Richard Perle has emerged from whatever think-tank cubby hole he has been plotting in, exuding a fresh layer of negative Chi.

On last Thursday's Al Franken Show, his delusions were on full display; he still thinks Saddam had WMD's, (but tried to qualify it with "at one time"), still thinks Iraq was an Al-Qaeda training camp, and really had no excuse for his pre-invasion hokum about oil-rich Iraq being able to pay for its own post invasion mess, and still seems to have no problems about parroting the lies about Iraq's non-existent nuclear weapons program.

On Sunday, Perle took a left turn and swept in low, strafing the Code Pink 24hr Mother's Day vigil, with a PBS camera in tow. He caught flak.

"No good can come of this" is the thought which whispers in my mind as I look at Perle's sickly pallor as he attempts to lure Cindy Sheehan into a debate for... the BBC? This is what Randi Rhodes reported on her show yesterday.

Sheehan refused, and then Perle was left to the mercy of the veterans of his ill-conceived war. IVAW had a unit there, I guess Perle was hoping that he would be able to pick fights with dead-soldier's moms all day.

They let him know what they thought of his war.

Go away, Perle. You got nothin'. Nothin' but lies.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

hahaha, richard perle is an arrogant bastard who deserves to rot in hell for this war.  funny thing is, 95% of americans don't even know who he is, even though he is one of the prime architects of the war.  richard perle, rumsfeld, paul bremer, et. al. seriously should not be able to sleep at night.

The Eyes Wide Open exhibit is the field of boots display produced by the American Friends Service Committee and a host of other groups including Military Family Speak Out, Gold Star Families Speak Out and Iraq Veterans Against the War.

On display this past weekend on the Washington Mall, Richard Perle appeared Saturday off to the side with camera crew in tow.  I was a volunteer and 'stuck to my post' so I didn't get to hear whatever vile he was spewing at the time, I was appalled--as were others--that he had the gall to appear where families of fallen soldiers were gathered to honor their loved ones.

Perle was very quickly surrounded by members of IVAW and other family members--including Cindy Sheehan--who engaged him in very direct terms from what I understand.  It was wonderful to see these boys who had been used by Perle and his neocon buddies directly confront one of the leading architects of the Iraq war.  When Perle decided he'd had enough, they followed him down the sidewalk for some distance.

From others, I heard that he remained arrogant and condescending throughout.  I can only speculate as to why he was using these two events to emerge from under whatever rock he's been hiding.  I suspect we should expect an op-ed assault followed shortly by a book, due out a few months before the next planned invasion.
